Mark Your Calendars….Set The Date….Don’t Miss This Event!!
The Norris Music Boosters are hosting a “Dessert Potluck” designed to inform you about the activities of the Music Boosters for this upcoming school year, how to get involved, and how significant of an impact you can have on your Norris student musicians.
At this event, you will hear from instrumental director Dr. Evan Lee and vocal director Mr. Wes Hansmeyer as they outline the general schedule of events for the school year. They will also describe to you the importance of a vibrant Music Booster organization and explain how parent and friend involvement is vital to our music program.
You will also learn about the mission of the Norris Music Boosters from the Music Booster President. Monty Scheele will outline our role as an organization, the event calendar, how to get connected and stay connected, how to get involved, answer your questions, and detail many other points of information that are important for you to know as we begin the new school year.
Most importantly, you will learn that “With One Voice” the Music Boosters provide support and encouragement to both vocal and instrumental music programs, the directors, and primarily our student musicians.
You won’t want to miss it! You’ll also have a chance to volunteer for projects and purchase some fabulous Music Booster Gear!!
Who: The Norris Music Boosters and anyone wanting to become a Music Booster
What: 2013 Kickoff Classic “Dessert Potluck”
When: Friday, August 16th @ 6:30 p.m. (for roughly an hour…but feel free to stay and mingle!)
Where: Norris High School outdoor shelter (south of high school)
Why: To learn important information about Music Booster events for the upcoming school year AND to connect or re-connect with those involved with our music program at Norris
What to bring:
– A dessert to share with others (the Boosters will provide plates, utensils and beverages)
– A lawn chair
– A desire to learn
– A willingness to get involved
– A passion to support and encourage the growth of our music program
